Pre-Conference Workshop, Monday, 20th February, 2017

09:00 AM - 11:59 PM Ensuring an End-to-End Comprehensive Cyber-Security System for Autonomous Vehicles

Cyber-security is one of the biggest concerns that regulators face when planning for an AV program. The highly connected AVs are vulnerable to security threats, which come in various forms including the distortion of communication messages, and the disruption of communication channels. Additional threats include potential hacking of data systems as well as the failure of smart infrastructure.

This workshop will deep dive into cyber security challenges across different platforms to map out vulnerabilities points, identity quick, efficient yet dynamic security solutions as well as collaborative strategies for AVs.
  • Mapping out the potential vulnerabilities across platforms in Autonomous Vehicles
  • Securing control networks of AVs and smart infrastructure against cyber attacks
  • Incorporating holistic systems to ensure safety, privacy and reliability
  • Arresting the attacks on the communication channel in co-operative connected autonomous vehicles
  • Strengthening data privacy policies to safeguard data exchange with various stakeholders
  • The role of regulation to tackle cyber-security threats
